Project plan and deliverables
The AgriCaptureCO2 project runs for three years (January 2021 to December 2023) and is structured around 5 main Work Packages:
ENGAGE
At its core, AgriCaptureCO2 is about building a community of farmers, businesses, and other relevant groups around regenerative agriculture. We will do that by organising regular webinars and on-farm activities, and publishing engaging blogs and briefings, to animate a dynamic network of actors interested in regenerative agriculture and carbon sequestration.
DEVELOP
The project is also working to develop an earth observation (EO)-driven suite of digital solutions that will empower farmers and public authorities to explore and quantify regenerative agriculture opportunities for cost savings and carbon sequestration and verify their implementation.
CERTIFY
In parallel, we will explore the possibility and value of an EU Reg Agri certification and by the end of the project, we aim to submit the AgriCaptureCO2 methodology for certification of carbon credits under recognised global frameworks.
PILOT
These digital solutions will be developed in close consultation with the intended end-users to ensure that they deliver added value, including through ongoing testing of five case-studies in pilot farms.
LAUNCH
Finally, throughout the project and especially once results are being concretised, we will prepare for the launch and commercialisation of our digital solutions.
